Escalade is the First Rock Climbing Gym to develop a uniform rating system  to develop climbing and skills.  Our progressive training system allows climbers to increase strength and endurance, two of the most important aspects of rock climbing.

Climbing Levels:

5.6 White: The first level in Escalade testing.  Everyone that starts the training program will achieve this patch.

5.7 Yellow: Moving to the next level takes more work.  Walls and routes will start to become more involved.

5.8 Orange:  At this level you are learning more about all aspects of climbing.  Climbing terms are familiar to you and you notice that you can hang on smaller holds.

5.9 Green: At this level  you have been climbing for some time.  Competitions are within your ability.  You start to venture outdoors to test your skills.

5.10 Blue: At this level you are an intermediate climber.  You have been out on several climbing excursions and associate yourself with other climbers.

5.11 Brown:  At this level you are an above average climber.  You are starting to find out where your strengths are.

5.12 Red: At this level you are  in an advance category of climbers.  You will have high strength and endurance at this point.

5.13 Black: At this level you are considered to be at an amateur professional level.  Get ready to be a sponsored athlete!
